The SS also took the opportunity to start noting the various paint defects/ dents etc whilst we went through.
Our progress update this week:
- Soil levels at the front are now level to the street
- Rangehood has been installed
- Shower dumper position in upstairs bathroom has been fixed
- Damaged basin has been fixed
Still to be done:
- Facade articulation joins need to be made straight
- Front door stain needs to be fixed or door replaced
- Splashback needs to be replaced
- Foxtel fit off needs to be fixed
- Dented sliding door needs to be fixed
- Damanged island bench needs to be replaced
- Loose brick from NHI report needs to be fixed
- Balcony post needs the underside of it painted
We also raised these items on Tuesday to our SS
- Termite barrier pipes around the facade pillar were above ground and we asked this to be lowered because we want to concrete there
- Garage floor needs to be cleaned of hardened building waste
We noticed the ground was really muddy and it turned out that on Monday (day before) the water mains were severed by accident when they were installing termite barriers around the house.
We have been preparing for the PCI inspection, which we hope is on this coming week (assuming the water mains issue has been fixed).
- We booked in our indepedent inspector
- We purchased the $4 PCI checklist
- We printed out the Electrical and Networking plans giant paper sizes (4 pieces of A3 stuck together per page)
- We have a a few copies printed of all our contract items and colours selections to check
- We are bringing a phone charger to test out every power point
- We are bringing a laptop and TVStick tuner to test out our TV reception
Here are some of the photos taken over the last few months.
